Incremental/Differential Root folder creation

Postby RuKeBo » Thu Mar 23, 2017 8:43 pm

If I create a backup set for an incremental backup and in the options under "Destination folder", check the "Create the root folder in the local/network destinations" and then select "Root folder with the following name and/or date/time format:" and set the Name to "MyBackup", it will not create the root folder named "MyBackup". All it will do is create a folder for what it is backing up. For instance, if I am trying to backup the "Music" folder, it will make that folder at the destination, then put (Full) or (Incremental) folder under that. In other posts on this site, it has been stated that it should make a folder called "MyBackup", then put folders under that, I assume "Music" then the (Full) or (Incremental).

Good evening,
it is possible it was a mistake.
For an Incremental/Differential backup the options of destination are not available. The destination is only what you put in configuration wizard.
